INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOW TO PLAY YOUR MATCH
-After setting a time with the other participants of your match, someone should contact
ºNDC¬ eCho with that information to receive a password for the tournament server.
-After entering the server with your password,
IMMEDIATELY JOIN SPECTATOR and remain there until all four players (and any spectators/admins are ready).
-If you are going to record a demo, at this time type
record match1 in console (the ~ key). Recording a demo is not necessary, but recommended to provide footage for the final video. Recording a demo is not recording an actual video, and is therefore not CPU intensive.
-After all four players have verified they are ready and which teams (NSF/Jinrai) they will choose, all four players should join their teams at once. At this point, the game has begun, there is no need to wait for a "GO" or "LIVE" command.
-You will play only one map, until whichever team gets 10 wins (standard map score limit).
-At the end of the match, take a screenshot of the score by holding
Tab and pressing
F12.
-If you are recording a demo, at this time type
stop in your console ( ~ ).
-That's it!
There will be four eliminations (one per week), ending in the championship round. The brackets and maps will be assigned at random, and each team will have one week to complete each elimination, so that should leave plenty of time to coordinate with all four players involved in your elimination match. There will be one elimination bracket per week, for four weeks (the entire month of March). °NDC¬ will be running a locked tournament server to host the matches, and when you have coordinated a time for your match, it is important you post it here, or directly to °NDC¬ eCho to retrieve a password to access the server during your match time. We will attempt to have °NDC¬ Admins moderate all matches to players have proper access, rules are observed, and demos will be recorded from as many matches as possible to compile a tournament video in April. Brackets and progress will be posted in this post.
